Kanji practice sheet generator
Type any kanji, or pick a JLPT level, and get a PDF: the model with its stroke order, rows that fade from dark to blank, and the meaning and readings.
What goes on the sheet
Each kanji gets a row: the model with its stroke numbers, one darker and two lighter copies to trace, and empty squares to copy into. A single kanji gets a full page instead, with every step of its stroke order drawn out.
Kana and repeats
Kana in your text are kept; repeated kanji are printed once. Characters without stroke data in KanjiVG are listed above the button so you know what was left out.
Which grid
The cross (tian zi ge) helps you place each stroke; the diagonals of mi zi ge help with slanting strokes; plain squares are closest to test answer sheets. For writing compositions, use genkouyoushi paper.
Free, with no limit
The PDF is put together in your browser from open stroke data, so there is no account, no watermark and no daily cap: a whole HSK level or the full JLPT N1 list prints in one file. More makers and blank paper are on the worksheets page.
Sources and licenses of the stroke data are printed in the footer of every sheet and listed on Credits.
