How to write 这 (zhè, “this”)
这, an HSK 1 character, is read zhè for “this” and “this”, and also zhèi (“this”). The traditional form is 這, 10 strokes instead of 7. On its own it is an HSK 1 word; it also forms 这个 (“this”), 这些 (“these”) and 这儿 (“here”). Japanese keeps the traditional 這, read sha (“crawl”).
