How to write 对 (duì, “right”)

对 (duì), an HSK 1 character, means “right”, “towards” and “concerning”. The traditional form is 對, 14 strokes instead of 5. On its own it is an HSK 1 word; it also forms 对不起 (“I'm sorry”), 对话 (“to talk”) and 对面 (“opposite”). Japanese keeps the traditional 對, read tai (“correct”).
